Flag Rock Village/Housatonic Housing (Great Barrington, MA)
The Great Barrington Housing Authority wanted a comprehensively designed site to include 32 units of elderly housing with community space, 16 units of duplex-style family housing, and three special-needs units. Semi-private outdoor spaces in front of the elderly housing units, and a variety of outdoor spaces that either facilitate interaction or maintain privacy, are just a few of the special features that moved the complex beyond affordable housing to a place people happily call home.
