Berkshire Medical Center Pedestrian Walkways (Pittsfield, MA)
When Berkshire Medical Center needed to improve the energy efficiency for their three existing pedestrian walkways, they turned to Dietz & Company Architects for a design solution. Our firm replaced the existing framing and glazing with new, dual-glazed, low-E, thermally broken curtain walls and a translucent, insulated, Kalwall angled-roof system. New and efficient high-velocity heating/cooling systems, sprinklers, fire alarm systems, lighting, and interior finish upgrades rounded out the project. The end result complements the hospital's recently completed expansion and helps solidify its image as the premiere healthcare facility in the region.
