Village Hill - Hilltop Apartments (Northampton, MA)
Hilltop Apartments is the Phase I affordable housing component of this planned, mixed-use community, which represents a major redevelopment of the historic 1856 Northampton State Hospital buildings and grounds. Phase 1 consisted of the complete renovation of two abandoned brick buildings. These buildings now house a total of 33 affordable housing units in energy efficient buildings. This substantially green and energy efficient project secured the 2007 Pioneer Valley Smart Growth Award for Mixed Use.
